Abstract

SMEs have a very large and crucial contribution to the Indonesian economy at a macro level. One of the fields of MSME that is able to produce a large turnover
is culinary MSME. In the city of Malang, the growth of culinary MSMEs remains good and even continues to increase in the coming years. With the rapid growth of
culinary MSMEs in the city of Malang, the competition among culinary MSMEs is also getting tougher. Ria Ria Pecel is one of the SMEs in the culinary field which was established in 2010 with a special menu of Blitar pecel rice. As one of the
culinary MSMEs in Malang, Ria Ria Pecel must be able to compete with similar competitors. However, the potential possessed by Ria Ria Pecel has not been maximized due to lack of awareness in managing the brand or strategy.
Therefore, through various qualitative research and SWOT analysis, the design of visual branding and its strategy is designed to provide a clear identity, increase competitiveness, and introduce Ria Ria Pecel to the people of Malang, especially among students / families and families with the age range of 20 to 50 year. The design concept that will be used is modern, fresh, young, fun, and
simple with the main colors green and white and the main font type sans-serif. From this design produced the main media in the form of manual graphic containing new
data from the Ria Ria Pecel rebranding, supporting media in the form of hats, totebags, shop uniforms, letterhead, business cards, stamps, mugs, member cards, aprons, paper cups, pins , shopping bags, plastic pouch packages, corporate Instagram, nametags, and signages.
