Abstract

Indonesia is a large country which has plenty of history in it, even those that are not yet discovered. One of the example is the history of the Badut Temple which
is a temple located in the regency of Malang. So far, its origin remains unclear. For this reason, its history is an interesting topic to discuss by making it into an
illustration book to give a view the people of Malang. This illustration book project aims to give a fun way to explain history in order to attract the people of Malang
who is 18 years old and above to at least think about the history of this temple. The research method that is used to gather data is the qualitative method by observation
and literature study. While the design method that is used is the ADDIE method with the cyclic strategy. The result was a A5 illustration book with an oil painting style of illustration and the chiaroscuro lightning technique. The supporting media which are made for this project consist of a cap, a tote bag, a t-shirt, a mug, and a tumbler While the other media that are used to promote this projects consist of a flag, a poster, and an acrylic display. The evaluation result shows that the book is easy to read and appealing. But needed to be added a few things. Key Words: Illustration Book, Badut Temple, History
