Abstract
This report will describe the four-month internship experience at one of the translation companies in Jember City, Translation Transfer. This report will explain
general information about Translation Transfer and also what activities the author has done during the internship. During this internship, I was not only taught and
introduced to translation techniques, but I was also invited to learn about content writing, copywriting, how to create a good CV, how to collect company data, how to create an attractive LinkedIn profile, and many more. However, during
fieldwork, the writer found several problems that are influential in promoting effective communication, including (1) the difference in language used during the
internship and in class, (2) the existence of some foreign terminology that emerged during the internship, and (3) the effectiveness of communication in writing. In addressing various issues, the suggested solutions include (1) familiarizing oneself and adapting to the use of the English language, (2) adapt to new terminology, and (3) try to implement direct communication or by using other media. Nevertheless, Translation Transfer serves as an ideal environment for students interested in delving comprehensively and deeply into the field of translation. It also provides full support for internship students to continuously enhance their skills.Key Words: Language Difference, Terminology, Communication
