Abstract
A work directed by Felicity Morris is a documentary film entitled The Tinder Swindler. Simon Leviev is the main character who swindles many women through the dating application i.e., Tinder. The aim of this study is to explore the moral issues depicted by the main character in the view of pragmatic approach, followed by the moral lessons. The writer started with observing scene by scene to
figure out the moral issues in the main character. The writer used descriptive qualitative to compile the data from the film with the supporting theories. The findings of this study are, the writer found six moral issues depicted by the main character i.e., deceptive, untruthful, verbally aggressive, hypocritical, untrustworthy, and perfidious.
