Abstract

Tuberculosis is a contagious infectious disease caused by Bacillus Mycobacterium Tuberculosis with a treatment that lasts at least 6 months. Prolonged treatment will result in patients not being obedient to take medication and side effects that arise during treatment affect patient non-compliance. If the patient is compliant to use drugs as advised by doctors and pharmacists regularly and completely without interruption, the success of therapy can be achieved. Therefore, to improve patient compliance and promptness of treatment, this study was conducted using a Patient Medication Record (PMR) Card and Reminder
Card. The study was conducted at the Lung Poly Hospital of Waluyo Jati Kraksaan Hospital in 20 November 2019-20 February 2020 in adult TB patients using pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design methods as many as 133
respondents using the Slovin formula.Compliance and accuracy of taking drugs are analyzed using SPSS-26. Based on the analysis of differences in the treatment system and patient problems before and after PMR intervention using the Mc Nemar test in the treatment system and the patient's problem on several aspects there are significant differences, each a value of 0,000 (p < 0.05) so that the administration of PMR
interventions can increase treatment system and patient problems related to patient compliance. Chi square test results between the treatment system and the patient's
problem with the level of adherence obtained a value of 0,000 (p < 0.05) on aspects of side effects, non-compliance, self-medication and negligence of patients taking medication so that there is a significant relationship between the
four aspects with the level of patient compliance.
From the results of the study, it was found that the difference in adherence based on pill count before and after PMR was adherence category > 95% before intervention (78.2%) after intervention (94.7%) while the non-adherent category <
95% before intervention (21.8% ) after intervention (5.3%). The results of the Wilcoxon test on the level of compliance before and after the intervention obtained the Asymp.sig value. (2-tailed) = 0.000 (p < 0.05) there was a
statistically significant difference so that the PMR intervention and flashcards could significantly increase the level of patient compliance. Keywords: Released OAT, Compliance, Reminder Cards, PMR, Pill Count, TBC
