Abstract

CV Panggah Nyang is a company that produces brown sugar. In the production process, the machines used are sugar cane weighing machine, sugar cane grinder, conveyor, rotary dryer, and heater. Based on these machines, it can be seen that there are several risks of work accidents for
workers so it is necessary to identify and analyze occupational health and safety using the Failure
Mode and Effect Analysis method. Failure Mode and Effect Analysis is a method used to identify hazards that arise from a process. The data used in this study is work accident data at the company
for a period of 4 years from 2018 to 2021. Based on work accident data the number of work
accidents in CV. Panggah Nyang there were 18 work accidents in the last 4 years from 2018 to 2021. The impact of work accidents that occurred in CV. Panggah Nyang, namely production delays which resulted in a decrease in the predetermined production capacity. In this research, there are three jobs that are prioritized to be followed up, namely sugarcane milling work, pulp drying and sugarcane cooking processes. Based on the potential risks that occur, the recommendations given are to complete the required PPE. The PPE needed to reduce the risk of work accidents is PPE in the form of tools as an intermediary from the hand to the grinding machine used when carrying out the sugarcane milling process, PPE in the form of long gloves used in all parts of production, Appround used by workers at work stations to cook liquid sugarcane, anti-slip shoes used by workers at all work stations, masks and eye protection used by workers at all work stations.Keywords: Machine, FMEA
