Abstract
Human resource development is considered expensive, therefore the way to do it must be done effectively and the results achieved are satisfactory.. Competence is
one of the advantages of human resources, competence it self includes technical and non-technical factors such as soft skills and hard skills. The meaning of competency certification is the granting of a certificate in terms of competencies that exist in standardized human resources with national work competencies. The purpose of this study was to determine the process of achieving professional
teachers at SMA Negeri 2 Madiun, to find out the teaching performance carried out after the teacher was certified at SMA Negeri 2 Madiun, and to determine the impact that occurred in schools after the teacher certifies. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with interview analysis techniques by taking informants of three teachers who are certified for one year, five years, and
ten years. Based on this study, obtaining teacher certification results can be followed with conditions such as having a minimum qualification of undergraduate
(S1) and linear with the subjects taught by the teacher, the teacher has 24 hours of teaching hours, has a NUPTK, and is registered in the dapodik. Teacher performance after certification increases in terms of competence, being the ability to follow the applicable curriculum and mastering the material and structure of the scientific concept of the subject. The impact of teacher certification in SMA Negeri
2 is mastery of learning materials, teacher performance is increasing, and schools have professional and competent teachers, SMA Negeri 2 Madiun is the best school
