Abstract
Chan-lienR is one of the herbal medicine preparations originating from China, chan�lienR drug has a composition namely guava bizen leaves, antrodia camprhorata, garcitrin
phenisulin, ayuflex, and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose starch and water. Chan-lienR drugs have benefits as weight loss, blood pressure reduction, antidiabetic, antioxidant, and anti-hypertensive, immunomodulatory as well as anti-cancer activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the drug chan-lienR
as an antihyperlipidemia in white wistar strain male rats.
This research is an experimental study with a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments, KN was given CMC Na, KP was given simvastatin 10mg/kgBB/day, PI, P2,
P3 were given drug chan-lienRdoses of 1000mg/kgBB/day, 500mg/kgBB/day, 250mg/kgBB/day.Data analysis of total cholesterol levels in test animals after administration of variations in the drug dose can then be made with software statistic SPSS 16. SPSS analysis results showed
no significant differences between the treatment of KP and P1, P2, P3 and there were significant differences between KP, P1, P2, P3 with KN. So it was concluded that the drug chan-lienRhas effectiveness as an antihyperlipidemia proven by the decrease in total cholesterol in the treatment
