Abstract
The Kalalawit (Uncaria Gambir Roxb.) Bajalawit from the Rubiales is one of the 1000 plants in Indonesia that can be used for traditional medicine, which can be utilized by all parts. This plant originates from the interior of Central
Kalimantan Province which has not been widespread to other regions.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of aphrodisiac ethanol extract of Kalalawit stem stem on increasing libido of male Wistar strain (Rattus Novergicus) given orally for 3 days. With the test parameters observed were the number of approach activities (introduction), riding (climbing), and mating (coitus) for 24 hours. There are five treatment groups namely negative
control group, positive control group given sildenafil citrate dose 10 mg / KgBB, treatment group 1 given extract dose 150 mg / KgBB, treatment group 2 given extract dose 200 mg / KgBB, and treatment group 3 which is given an extract dose of 250 mg / kg. Each group consisted of 3 male rats. The results were observed using the two way ANOVA test and continued with the Post Hoc LSD test.The stem extract of the stem is identified by its metabolic compounds by means of a qualitative test. In this test, it can be concluded that the ethanol extract of stem of Kalalawit stem contains metabolic compounds, namely flavonoids, tannins, saponins, terpenoids, alkaloids, glycosides and phenolics.Keywords: Bajakah Kalalawit (Uncaria Gambir Roxb.), Aphrodisiac, introduction, climbing, coitus
