Abstract
Many people do not consider that a failed marriage has a bad impacts on their children, especially with teenagers. When two married couples are both lack of love and lack of attention, thus it will lead to betray each other, especially having an affair with another person and the worst part is usually ends with a divorce which hurting the children’s feelings and emotions. Lately, the infidelity issues are more become trending and not many people are aware of that. Thus, the writer got the inspiration from that and decides to create this creative writing project short story “Between Marriage and Betrayal” as the final project to graduate from Universitas Ma Chung. In English Letters Study Program at Universitas Ma Chung, students
does not only doing analysis or research of something else such as movie, novel, poster, etc. Eventually, this study program also provides other forms of final project
such as teaching media, translation, and creative writing so students can choose their final project by themselves. The writer’s objective writing this short story are:
(1) to raise awareness regarding divorce and infidelity issue and (2) mental health awareness. Through this short story, the writer hopes that the readers can realize if
marriage is not an easy journey and have a better understanding of divorce. After the short story was finished, the writer faced some difficulties such as: (1) changing the plot, (2) grammar uses and the choice of words, (3) thinking the ending of the story, and (4) lack of concentration while revising the short story.
