Abstract
Food is a fundamental requirement for human survival. Many businesses, such as livestock and agriculture businesses, are involved in the feed industry to supply the community's raw material needs. One example is CV. Mitra Utama,
company that works in the field of animal husbandry to supply the need for chickenbroiler meat. There are several aspects that influence the smooth manufacturing process at CV. Mitra Utama, including the availability of chicken feed. The problem that occurs is CV. Mitra Utama is often faced with the problem of controlling various chicken feed supplies and limited capacity when placing an order where the limit lies in the warehouse capacity constraint.
This research seeks to help with ordering chicken feed, planning for chicken feed purchases to achieve optimal results, and finding the optimal total supply of
chicken feed to reduce the overall cost of chicken feed inventory at CV. Mitra Utama. The Multi Item EOQ method is technique to control the demand or orders for several types of optimal products at the lowest possible total cost.
The results showed that the optimal order for G-10 chicken feed was 219 sacks, 313 sacks for G-11 Crumble chicken feed, 415 sacks for G-11 S type chicken feed, 461 sacks for Star type chicken feed, and for chicken feed type 8201-SP of
455 sacks. The storage area needed for optimal ordering of each type of chicken feed is 63.168 m2.This is what the company needs in order to be able to control the supply of chicken feed and achieve the desired number of inventory orders.Keywords : Inventory Control, Economic Order Quantity, Multi Item, chicken feed
