Abstract

Sustainability with it’s triple bottom line is one of the important principles of development and manufacturing. This principle would be developed to be applicable to Micro, Small and Medium Industry (IMKM) of food and beverage
sector in Malang district. Hence, a measuring instrument is needed to measure the sustainability level at IMKM. The measuring instrument was expected to contain indicators that are relevant to matters relating to IMKM in its operations. The indicators are then weighted using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Furthermore, the measuring instrument will be simulated to find out how the measuring instrument works and to know then compare the sustainability
between an IMKM to another.The research begins with identifying indicators based on Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Indicators in GRI will be identified as if it is legally relevant and the completeness and clarity of the data required to decide the suitability of the
indicator to be included in the measuring instrument. Further, data was collected from IMKM owners regarding their response to the level of importance of each indicators. The qualified indicators then assessed by the expert using pairwise comparison. Based on the assessment, data will be processed using AHP to produce weights on indicators and factors then continued through consistency tests. If the assessment have passed the consistency tests, then the measuring instrument deemed to be completed and the simulation can be started.The final form of the measuring instrument is a two-hierarchy levels of factors and indicators. Each factor and indicator has a weight that represent their importance level to sustainability. Based on the measuring instrument’s simulation, it can be concluded that at the IMKM level, the economic factor is the
factor that most affected the sustainability level, followed by social factor and environmental factor.Keywords : AHP, IMKM, measuring instrument, sustainability
