Abstract
This internship report outlines the duties of the writer as a talent scout in Wave Literature Surabaya. While in the internship the writer did a task to be a Talent Scout and served authors for six months. This report starts with the background, objectives, scope, significance of doing
the internship and the internship report, and operational definition of key terms. Then, it follows with the general description of the company, the activities undertaken, and experiences the writer had got. Besides, this report examines the problems that the writer found during her internship related to the employee performance in publishing Industry, specifically in the department where the writer was, namely quality of communication between talent scout and editorial team. In addition, the writer also includes suggested solutions toward the problems.Keywords: internship, talent scout, quality of communication, editorial team, publishing
