Abstract

As a part of the requirements for graduation, every student has to take an internship. As a student with a minor in translation, I applied and was accepted to take an nternship in Translation Linker. The main activity in the company was translating texts, advertisements, instructions, etc. During the internship, I discovered that I was typing quite slow compared to the actual employees there and tend to have typos.According to the principles of translation services, speed and accuracy in typing can becrucial to the business and to the general atmosphere of the industry. This report
demonstrates three key points: (1) limited amount of ocabulary; (2) the ability to typequickly and correctly plays an important role in this field; (3) and why social skill iscrucial in this line of work.Key Word: typing, vocabulary, social skill, text
