Abstract

Nowadays, technology has developed rapidly so that drawing activities can be done through devices that produce digital illustrations. Technology affects learning media that originally only existed in printed books can now be found
digitally, one of which is in digital comics. Line Webtoon as a digital comic provider platform can be utilized to provide an educational comic. To help provide knowledge about how to create digital illustrations, the design of digital comics on the Webtoon platform is made as a guide as well as motivation in creating an illustration.
The design of the comic "Digital Pen" on the Webtoon platform seeks to help improve the ability and provide motivation in creating an illustration. Digital
comic media was chosen because it is considered more interesting and still relevant today. This comic will later use the genre of tips & tricks and comedy in accordance
with the target audience who has the age of 14 years. This research uses a qualitative method by collecting data based on literature study and observation. For design using 4D which consists of define, design, develop, and disseminate.
The conclusion of this design is that this comic can help provide education related to the techniques used in drawing digital illustrations. This design is supported by
several media such as totebags, t-shirts, rubber bracelets, posters, gloves, sketchbooks, acrylic stands, WA stickers, mugs, and menu books.Keywords: Illustration, Digital, Tutorial, Webtoon, Technology, Pena Digital
