Abstract

The rapid development of social media is currently widely used in everyday life. One example is marketing
media that uses Instagram. This media is considered more effective because it is always seen by everyone and
the dissemination of information is faster at a lower price. This media is chosen by Nagoya Barbershop to
develop its business in the midst of competition. The method used in this research is Siyoto's 2015 qualitative
which is able to search for more in-depth data. In this study, the resulting data is analyzed into 9 types of
barbershop content consisting of haircuts, vibes, steal hairstyles, tips, barbershop services, promos, qna,
products, and holiday greetings which are complete with Instagram stories and reels and arranged in the GSM
book. The GSM book that has been formed has set all the templates that will be applied to each content. This
rule is mandatory so that the results obtained are consistent and easy for the audience to remember. In addition
to GSM, researchers have also equipped supporting media that can be used in content creation and marketing
media. After testing this GSM book, it turns out that not all rules can be applied properly, there are some rules
that are not written and do not fit in each photo. But this does not interfere with the desired result and still
looks appropriate at first glance. So that this book can be applied to designers who will work at Nagoya
