Abstract

Regulation of the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (NAAHE) Number 2, 2019, Guidelines for Self-Evaluation and Study Program Performance states that the duration of studying (DOS) in bachelor degree is
between 3.5 and 4.5 years (3.5 < DOS < 4.5) then it will get a highest score (score:4) ) as well as on-time graduation if the percentage of on-time graduation
more than 50%. Ma Chung University, as one of Malang's private universities, understands the importance of evaluating the learning process in the study program so that
students can graduate on time and the percentage of student graduation meets the accreditation requirements, ensuring the study program's long-term viability. To ensure the continuity of student studies, evaluations of studying are conducted at the end of the first, second, third, and fourth years. This thesis used data from regular students of the 2015-2017 class who graduated in 2018-2020 to create a graduation prediction model with a decision tree and naive bayes using the Knime tool to determine the timely graduation of Ma Chung University students. Gender, 2nd semester GPA, 4th semester GPA, number of credits at the end of the first year, number of credits at the end of the
second year, total grade CD, D, and E in semester 1-2, and total grade CD, D, and E in semester 3-4 are the attributes used. From the calculation results it is known that the accuracy rate of the naïve Bayes algorithm is 88.35% higher than the decision tree which is 87.63% and the
precision rate for naïve bayes is 90.36% compared to the decision tree which is 88.12%. It is also known that the GPA attribute for semester 2 will determine graduation on time if a student's GPA in semester 2 more than 2.92.
