Abstract

In 2020 the world underwent changes due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. As a result, many companies implement work from home. Work from home is expected to provide a good work-life balance for employees, because currently work-life balance plays an important role. Another factor that can affect work-life balance is workload. This study aims to determine: (1) Does work from home affect the work-life balance of Generation X and Generation Y employees, and (2) Does workload affect the work-life balance of Generation X and Generation Y employees. causal with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all workers in the City of Malang who had worked from home in the years of birth from 1965 to 1999. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The sample population is 30 Generation X and 70 Generation Y. The data collected has been tested for validity and reliability. The results of this study
indicate that work from home does not significantly affect the work-life balance of Generation X and Generation Y, workload has a significant effect on the work-life
balance of Generation X and Generation Y, and the work from home and workload variables in this study have an effect on simultaneously on work-life balance in both
