Abstract
The background of this non-thesis project is the writer’s concerns about asthma disease which some people suffer. Asthma itself is the process of narrowing the human
respiratory tract. When asthma recurs, it is marked by symptoms of difficulty breathing accompanied by coughing. This symptom cannot be ignored, but it can be life-threatening. By this non-thesis project, the writer wanted to tell or to share with the reader how dangerous asthma can be. To tell the reader, the writer wrote a non-thesis work in the form of a short story. Not only about asthma, but the writer also presented it in a romance story. To make it more sensible and reliable, the writer also used a library research method to gather some data. The data will be about the meaning of the short story, romance genre, and also Asthma itself. The short story is about a high school student named Aleeta Magd who struggled with asthma disease. One day, she accidentally met Noah Godfrey. From their usual relationship, they finally became a couple. With Aleeta, readers will be guided into their love stories.
